LGBT Flag | Rainbow American Flag
The LGBT flag, also known as the rainbow flag, is a symbol of pride and support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. The flag was first created in 1978 by artist and activist Gilbert Baker in San Francisco, California, USA.
The original design of the flag featured eight colored stripes, each with its own meaning. However, in 1979, the flag was revised to its current six-stripe design, with each color representing a different aspect of the LGBT community:
- Red: Life
- Orange: Healing
- Yellow: Sunlight
- Green: Nature
- Blue: Harmony
- Purple: Spirit
The LGBT flag has become a widely recognized symbol of the LGBT community and its struggle for acceptance and equal rights. It is often flown at pride events and is displayed on clothing, stickers, and other items as a sign of support for the LGBT community
